This is my first year teaching 4th grade in Waukee, and I'm enjoying it very much! Prior to coming here, I taught 4th Grade in Olathe, Kansas for 6 years. It was a wonderful experience, but it's great being back in my home state.
I grew up on a farm south of Hubbard, IA, and graduated from Hubbard-Radcliffe High School in 2000. I attended Simpson College from 2000-2004 where I majored in elementary education. During my time in Kansas, I obtained my Master of Education degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
My husband, Zach, and I reside in Clive, IA with our daughter Katie (2 years). Zach works at Farmer's Insurance in Urbandale, and Katie attends daycare in Waukee. In our free time, our family enjoys reading, playing games (we've recently taken an interest in Wii Bowling as well as the game of Yahtzee!), and spending time with our extended family and friends!
